My earlier story should have had an additional episode: a happy outcome.
The doctors and nurses were fantastic! Emergency action, expertly delivered, solved the problem. I left Coronary Care Unit the day after the “incident”, very much on the road to full recovery. I honestly believe the thoroughness of the medical staff saved my life. I felt totally reassured-and safe-in their professional care. How can I ever thank you enough!
I was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with severe pains to my side and chest. I was put on C. C. U ward where I had many tests and was monitored.
It turned out to be my gall bladder, and an operation would be needed later in the year, this was because I have a leaking heart valve and bronchitis.
My stay in hospital was 5 days. The staff were very kind and helpful. And they all worked as a team.
I would like to express my personal thanks and gratitude to all the staff involved in my mother’s care following a heart attack.
Special mention should be given to doctors and staff at A&E and the Coronary Care Unit at Whiston Hospital who provided outstanding service.
She is now taking part in cardiac rehab at the Fingerpost Park Health Centre and has nothing but praise for all the cardiac nurses, trainers and staff. This is a wonderful service, provided by caring, dedicated staff who give patients and relatives peace of mind that the best possible care is given. Thank you Halton and St Helens PCT.
I was admitted on the 17 August 2015 for emergency coronary care. I had angioplasty and a stent insertion. I would like to thank all the staff on A & E, MAU, Ward 18 and the Cardiac Catheter Lab for their excellent service and also for their kindness and compassion.
Dear Sir, or Madam,
We cannot begin to say how grateful we are to critical care unit, coronary unit and also the Chesterman for all the care they gave my husband and would like to thank all the staff on all units. Thank you again.
Everything was very good, except for the car parking which was poor.
I was well treated, couldn’t have had better attention. Excellent care! The nurses deserve a lot of credit.
I have been in hospital a few times before and this was the best experience so far.
After having a heart attack in October 2012, I was admitted into the Northern General in sheffield for an angiogram.
My stay in hospital was about two weeks. The care of the staff were brilliant on chesterman 1. Nothing was any trouble. I couldn’t ask for better care.
The ward was kept immaculate and the food was beautiful.
I have been in 3 hospitals and this was the best.
Then in November I was admitted again to the chesterman wing and I stayed in hospital for 7 weeks until in mid December 2012 I underwent a quadrupal heart bypass.
The staff from domestics to nurses, doctors and surgeons were brilliant.
They explained everything they made me comfortable.
I can’t thank the surgeon Mr. Briffa and his team enough for giving me a new chance of life.
I did not worry about the surgery as I knew I would be well looked after.
I was up and about within two days and discharged five days after surgery
I was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit at the Queen’s Medical Centre following 4 severe angina attacks. I then had an angiogram which showed the need for heart bypass surgery. While waiting for the surgery, I stayed on ward C53. I found the standard of care to be very good. The best thing about how I was treated was the high professionalism of the medical and nursing staff. I would like to thank the ward managers at the Coronary Care Unit.
Last month, I was a patient in the Coronary Care unit at the Barnsley District general hospital following a heart attack. The treatment which I was given by the medical team was of the highest standard possible – they saved my life. AS far as i am concerned, nothing could have been better.
Thank you to Dr Caine and all staff of the C.C.U. They were excellent and I can’t praise them enough.
